FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What do your packages include as in prints and files?

    - For photos our package includes an Engagement Session, at least 800 photos from your wedding day and a Sneak Peek. Those photos are delivered digitally via an online gallery from Pixieset. From Pixieset you can download and print on virtually anything you want! Their catalogue of printable items are pretty much endless. We can create an album for you at an additional cost and those generally start around $250 (it just depends on the amount of photos you want in them).

    -For video our package includes a 8-12 minute Highlight Film, a Ceremony Film and a Sneak Peek. All films are delivered digitally through an online gallery from VidFlow. Vidflow will allow you to download and view your films. They also have a Smart TV app so you can play your films directly from your TV. They store your films for 10 years too!

  • Do you use a second and/or third photographer?

    - For a film & photo package we don't use a second photographer. We're a husband and wife team so Kym shoots photo while John shoots video. While this does seem like a negative thing, it actually turns out really well. We know each other's equipment and shooting style, so we're able to create a seamless process throughout your wedding day. We're pretty much always side by side making your day as perfect as possible! We're able to work off of each other and with each other which makes the day smooth without having you feel like we're the paparazzi.

  • Do you shoot both in color and black and white?

    - We shoot in color. It's definitely possible to deliver photos in black & white, but we don't typically do it unless requested. When we deliver a final gallery, if you want some of your pictures in black and white, feel free to let us know which ones and we can make those available to you!

  • Do you bring your own lighting?

    - We do! We generally don't use it for anything but receptions, although there have been a few cases where we've used it during the ceremony (sometime's barns can get REALLY dark). We use two lights just to throw some light on people's faces on the dance floor. Don't worry, we don't kill the DJ's vibe!

  • Would you help us compile our shot list?

    - We definitely can, but we don't necessarily need a shot list. If you have some specific requests we would definitely LOVE to have those from you, but a general shot list for the day isn't needed.

  • What is the payment schedule?

    - We try to make payments as easy as possible for you. After the $300 deposit is made (the deposit is already included in the package price), you can make payments as often as you like as long as the final payment is made at least 7 days before your wedding. You can pay random amounts as the months pass or you can pay all at once. We want you to feel comfortable along the way so as long as it's paid by that deadline, we're good to go!

  • Is the rate a flat rate or is there fees?

    -It's a flat rate! Everything from the deposit to the sales tax is included in that package price! Travel fees may apply though.

  • What is your turnaround time?

    Your online galleries (both photo & video) are delivered within 2 months of your wedding, but a lot of times it's sooner!

  • Will we receive the negatives and/or high resolution digital images? Is there a fee for that?

    - Negatives are only used with film cameras, which we don't use. All of our images are digital. You do receive the High Resolution images and if you want social media size (social media actually degrades the High Resolution files) your online gallery will allow you to download those as well!

  • Do you offer retouching, color adjustment, or other corrective services? Are those included or an additional charge?

    - We do not offer retouching. Proper retouching 800 images would take probably a year to deliver so we don't do that. But if, for example, the groom go a mosquito bite on his forehead, (it's definitely happened) we would fix that for sure!! We can do color adjustment, but every photographer has a style and hopefully you choose a photographer produces images in a color that you LOVE so that doesn't have to happen.

  • What is your plan in case of emergency—for example, you or a second photographer get sick?

    - We know PLENTY of photographers and we have you covered! If one or both of us are ill we will have someone there to capture your day!!

  • What are your policies on file ownership and sharing?

    - So, technically, because wee physically snap the shutter button, we own the files. That being said, you have full right to use, print, share, post etc all you want (just please don't put filters over them).

  • Do you keep an extra set of my wedding photos just in case something happens to the first set?

    Yes! We do! We have hard drives that we store and backup your files on! We do always recommend you saving them in two places though (external hard drives are great for this)! That way there's additional coverage!

  • Do you have liability insurance? Does it cover your assistants, as well?

    - We do! We don't generally have assistants so coverage for them isn't needed but we're covered!
